Description Jüri Ivask 2018-04-11 09:34:19 CEST
Description of problem: qt 5.10.1 incomplete? upgrade breaks Plasma Desktop Environment

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 5.10.1

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install all Cauldron updates
2. Note that Plasma Desktop Environment does not work any more - black desktop with mouse cursor. Alt+F2 works for launching programs and Alt+Tab for switching between open windows.

I know, that this is Cauldron, but is there any sense that when such big updates (qt, plasma, kf5, kde apps) are packaged and the process is taking more than few hours (current qt5.10 update already several days) then these updates are packaged into cauldron updates_testing repository and moved to core only when all the packages are ready?

Confirming. Konsole windows which were open at logout reopen and respond, but the desktop background doesn't paint and the panel doesn't appear. C-A-D will initiate logout.
