Description of problem:
libftdi1 is currently version 1.2 which was released in 2014.
A number of improvements and fixes as well as support for more recent FTDI chips (like the FT230X) have been added since.

The library can be updated with minimal changes to the .spec file.

You might want to do this yourself: the registered maintainer has been inactive for quite a while now and I haven't seen him request a password reset when all packagers needed a reset.

Note that the package needs to be updated in cauldron, first.

I think that the support for recent chips allows to push it to updates_testing (instead of backports_testing) for Mageia 6.

Assigning to all packagers collectively, since the registered maintainer for this package is most likelly still unavailable. CC'ing the maintainer.
