Description Remco Rijnders 2011-07-24 17:17:02 CEST
Description of problem: Running rpmlint on a package without a %clean section results in warnings:

[remmy@cauldron python-html2text]$ rpmlint SPECS/python-html2text.spec
SPECS/python-html2text.spec: W: no-cleaning-of-buildroot %clean

SPECS/python-html2text.spec: W: no-%clean-section

It is my understanding that a %clean section is no longer required in a .spec file and thus would not expect to get this warning.

I will push something for no-%clean-section .

However, just to be sure, the no-cleaning-of-buildroot is not optional, no ?

i need to check with Panu but iirc this is replaced by a default %clean section ( with a rm -fr %buildroot ) since rpm 4.8.x ( i am sure this is replaced but what i don't remember is the first rpm version that bring it.
