Description Jean-Claude BRETHOME 2018-02-05 12:28:07 CET
Mageia 6.
By moving from kernel 4.9.56 to kernel 4.14.13 my AC600 WiFi USB Adapter (Netgear) is no more recognized. Switching back to 4.9.56 at boot time is fixing the problem, switching back again to 4.14.13 is creating the problem and so on.

It seems this is again the manifestation of BUG-21043 which was reported by Frederic Buclin while moving from kernel 4.4.68 to newer one, see : https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=21043

My own similar traces :

Ah, sorry about that...

upstream linux code changes caused the driver not to be built even if it was enabled in defconfigs :/

I have updated the driver so it builds properly again, so it will available in the upcoming 4.14.18 kernel (should be released upstream tomorrow)

There is now a 4.14.18-1.mga6 in updates_testing that should resolve this
