Hi. On the root (/) file system, there is a certain percent of disk space reserved for the root user. See this discussion for more information: https://www.redhat.com/archives/ext3-users/2009-January/msg00026.html And I think 5GB for / may be a tad small unless you have separated /usr, /var, /tmp and so on to their separate partitions. It may be a good idea to increase the size of / if possible. Cheers, Stig CC:

smelror Also note that with lots of small files the file system can run out of inodes before running out of space. Use "df -i" to view inode usage. See https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/26598/how-can-i-increase-the-number-of-inodes-in-an-ext4-filesystem for a discussion of the problem. CC:
