This looks suspiciously like bug #22059. Try this: 1. Start the installer and proceed to the Desktop selection stage 2. Press Ctrl-Alt-F2. This should switch to a screen with a command line prompt. 3. Enter the command 'udevadm trigger' (without the quotes). 4. Press Ctrl-Alt-F7. This should switch back to the installer GUI. 5. Continue with the installation. Does this fix the bug? CC:

Mageia stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Mageia 6. At that time this bug will be closed as OLD (EOL). Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Mageia version prior to Mageia 6's end of life.
