Ubuntu has issued an advisory today (October 24):

It appears that this issue was fixed upstream in 1.1.15 or 1.1.16, so only Mageia 5 is affected.  CVE-2016-7797 was introduced in 1.1.12, so Mageia 5 is not affected by that.

There probably isn't much interest in this package at this point.
