CUPS 2.2.5 has been released on October 13, fixing several bugs:

I have seen users complain of issues with CUPS in Mageia 6, and several bug fixes have already been added in Cauldron that haven't made their way to Mageia 6.  CUPS 2.2.5 fixes several more bugs.  We should update it for Mageia 6 if it tests out OK.

On mga6-64

packages installed cleanly:
- cups-2.2.6-1.mga6.x86_64
- cups-common-2.2.6-1.mga6.x86_64
- cups-filesystem-2.2.6-1.mga6.noarch
- lib64cups2-2.2.6-1.mga6.x86_64

Printing works normally both locally and over the LAN in both QT and GTK applications. In particular, on a mga6 system the remote printer is listed in the Print dialogue in QT applications. 

Looks OK for mga6-64

So this seems to fix bug#21736
I'm not sure about bug#21699 since a variety of symptoms are reported there

On mga6-32 in a vbox VM

packages installed cleanly
- cups-2.2.6-1.mga6.i586
- cups-common-2.2.6-1.mga6.i586
- cups-filesystem-2.2.6-1.mga6.noarch
- libcups2-2.2.6-1.mga6.i586

Printing over the LAN from QT and GTK applications OK.
(The remote printer is listed in the Print dialogue in QT applications.)

looks OK for mga6-32

Needs to be tested by those experiencing bug#21699

There are now two comments in bug#21699 that cups 2.2.6 solves that bug and so I have added the OK's.

I'll validate in a couple of days, if no-one objects.
