JMiahMan Security design. We tend to ship best Open Sourced softwares with best default settings. As upstream does not want Dolphin run as root user, which is a totally non-sense, we will not patch it. Mandatory informations: You can run Kate/Kwrite text editor as user and being able to save a root's file (like: /etc/default/grub) with a polkit elevation only at save time. This is OK since Mageia 8. For user non-viewable/browsable directory, use Konsole to navigate there, become root and use nano/vi/emacs. Normally, you should not modify such files. Closing. CC:
