GAP (Gimp Image Manipulations) is an advanced tool to be able to create animations.
I tried to build from source and ran into far too many problems. Dependency hell is just the first.

Setting version to cauldron to improve the chance that someone will package it. When it is in cauldron, it'll be in the next stable release after that, but it is also possible to reopen this request for Mga 1, then.

Gimp-GAP allows you to extract a sequence from whatever movie in order to make a small and lite animation in the very popular GIF format.

This project died many, many , many years ago and is no more compatible with actual GIMP 2.10
