Description Adam Dolata 2017-09-20 20:41:55 CEST
I'm unable to find plain/text files with baloo by content-search.The problem occurs in the search option in Dolphin and in the console (baloosearch).

Supposedly there was a problem in kfilemetadata 5.32.0 that broke indexing for plain text files, though that got fixed in 5.33.0 (basically, plain text files were not "recognized" as text/plain).

Any news? It's been a while...
Comment 5 Rémi Verschelde 2018-06-18 11:56:49 CEST
A big update to Plasma / KF5 was pushed earlier this year to Mageia 6, including kilemetadata-5.42.0-1.mga6.

Did it fix this issue?
Comment 6 Adam Dolata 2018-06-28 19:44:48 CEST
Unfortunately not. After the update the content search in baloo isn't working at all...
Comment 7 Adam Dolata 2018-09-06 17:55:22 CEST
It's working now!

Reinstalling kfilemetadata 5.42.0-1.mga6 helped.

For me, the problem is solved.

Thanks!

Retestet. It works here without reinstalling anything.
