Description of problem:

Hi,

My laptop is currently running under Mageia6.

1) I start my laptop and enter XFCE.
2) I run /usr/lib/systemd/systemd-sleep hibernate or click on the icon "Enter Hibernate" (or "Enter Sleep Mode") => The pc enters hibernate mode.
3) I get out of hibernate mode.
4) I run /usr/lib/systemd/systemd-sleep hibernate or click on the icon "Enter Hibernate" (or "Enter Sleep Mode") => the screen goes black and then starts again. It is impossible to enter in sleep mode anymore.
5) I logout from my XFCE session => I can enter sleep or hibernate mode.
6) If I stop the pc and starts it again, it is possible to enter again (once) in hibernate/sleep mode.

This can be solved by using a Mageia5 kernel version (4.4.82) but any 4.9 kernel version raises again the issue.

I didn't try any other desktop (KDE, Gnome, ...).

More details can be found at (in french) :

https://www.mageialinux-online.org/forum/topic-23767-2.php#m231170

As the problem occurs after the SECOND try to enter in hibernate mode, it does not seem to be 100% related to the kernel. The first try ALWAYS works (at least in my case).

Regards.

Xuo.
