Description of the problem:

Strange behavior: when kmozillaelper is installed sometimes Firefox stop downloading files. i.e. when you click on a download link (or save a page, an image, etc.), the Plasma select file window appears, you can choose a file name and a path, and after validating: nothing happens (nothing is downloaded and nothing appears in the FF download history).

If instead of downloading the file, you try to open the file (i.e. with Okular, LibreOffice, and so on) the file is correctly downloaded and opened.

If kmozillahelper is uninstalled, everything goes back to normal.

How reproducible:

Very often, but not every time. It is difficult for me to spot when it works (mostly it doesn’t).


Steps to Reproduce:
1- verify that kmozillahelper and Firefox are installed
2- try to download a file or save a page with FF.
3- nothing happens after selecting the file name.

This message is a reminder that Mageia 6 is end of life.

Mageia stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Mageia 6. At that time this bug will be closed as OLD (EOL).

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to 
fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later 
Mageia version prior to Mageia 6's end of life.
