Tested Mageia 6 64-bit

I had already tested the stable version: scribus-stable-1.4.6-3.mga6
 https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=21452#c9
from which I quote:
"Because this is not an update, it does not yet exist in normal repos, does not show in the Updates Testing available updates, but has to be installed directly from Updates Testing (removing the issued devel version if that is present).
Created a document with a single text frame + 2 image frames. This is inherently superb software, but sooo difficult to fathom & use."
But it functioned & looked fine.

About to OK it on this basis, I note that *this* update cites an *earlier* version: scribus-stable-1.4.4-1.mga6
Why is this? Scribus is a big download, and much as I admire it, I am wearying of replacing it again & again!

@Nicolas
Please can I have clarification of the version number you really want:
It was previously: scribus-stable-1.4.6-3.mga6 [which I tested briefly]
but has reverted to: scribus-stable-1.4.4-1.mga6
Asking for feedback.

MGA6-32 on Asus A6000VM MATE
No installation issues.
Made a business card with scribus: OK
Started a new document, inserted a text frame, and imported a 2.2Mb flat text into it. My laptop really struggled with that, but after a long long wait finished this operation OK Then saved the file (long again) and that resulted in a crash:
$ scribus
Scribus Crash
-------------
Scribus crashes due to Signal #11
Calling Emergency Save
Segmentatiefout (geheugendump gemaakt)
but the file was saved OK, I could open it again and change the dimensions of the text frame, and saved it again (rather smoothly this time)
So as far as my laptop could go, seems OK to me.

Testing M6/64

Removed Scribus, installed directly from Updates Testing:
 scribus-stable-1.4.6-3.mga6
Created a 3-page document, with linked text frames for one long article, columns, image frames, a shape with defined colours & transparency. All ended up well - but a painful learning process!
Validating; advisory done from comments 0 & 3.
