Trying to put a menu item at the beginning of an existing menu using perl-Gtk3, $menu->prepend($menu_item) appends the item at the end of the menu, not at the beginning. Per https://developer.gnome.org/gtk3/stable/GtkMenuShell.html#gtk-menu-shell-prepend, this should work.

Assigning back to the one that altered the code.
That's either an issue with your code or a gtk+3 issue, but not a perl-Gtk3 one which is just a translation layer on top of gtk+3 introspection data.
