That isn't a bug, that's a feature that helps prevent getting a messed up database. Anyway, for Mageia 6 or later (because Mga5 is no longer supported): if you run "MCC->Software management->Update your system" and, when there are updates, close MCC without updating and then run mgaapplet-update-checker and it does not show the available updates, then please run, as root: journalctl -ab > log.txt attach log.txt to this bug report, reopen it and adjust its Version: (Closing as OLD, because Mga5 is no longer supported at all) Status:
