Description corneliu dabija 2011-02-27 00:39:05 CET
I installed the proprietary ATI driver through MCC for my Radeon HD 4350 and it
worked great. One small problem: the mouse flickers when it moves over certain UI components. There are also some artifacts that appear in the proximity of the mouse. Really annoying.
I have fixed this issue by removing the line
Option "SWCursor"
in
Section "Device"
in
/etc/X11/xorg.conf
and everything works very well now. Maybe Mageia should make sure that this line does not get written in xorg.conf when installing the proprietary driver.
I also have Fedora installed on this machine and I have had exactly the same mouse issue there too.

OK, I reinstalled Mageia alpha 2 and reinstalled the proprietary ATI driver and Option "SWCursor" does not appear anymore in xorg.conf. So I guess we can close this bug.
