Yes, music visualization are gone with kodi 17,  this is an upstream bug, I'll push a fix once (and if) solved. In the meantime, you can try installing them locally, there is a thread on the kodi forum:

I think this might only be a fix for windows users. For me this one does not install. Hopefully the bugfix will be here soon.

This bug is old; we are at kodi 19 in Mageia 8.
