Description Ulrich Beckmann 2017-06-14 19:13:06 CEST
Description of problem:

I get constantly an update error message in Plasma 5 with the widget plasma-pk-updates.

Update Error
The task was forcibly cancelled. The task was cancelled successfully and no packages were changed. The backend did not exit cleanly.

N.B. I got this message before, but updates were committed partially or fully, though I did not notice any system breakages. Since last week there were no packages committed at all. Possibly there is a version mismatch.

Can you try to see if packagekit-1.1.6-2 and plasma-pk-update-0.3.1 solve your problem?

I pushed them to address crashes and failures regarding metadata refresh during updates.
Comment 2 Ulrich Beckmann 2017-06-16 20:15:31 CEST
Yes, it works now as expected. I will test further updates using plasma-pk-updates and packagekit.

Thank you,
Ulrich
