Description of problem: In Mate DE, when choosing a .mp4 video file to playback in Totem (Videos), the preview image is just a black square. It would normally have a frame from the video displayed.

How reproducible: every time


Steps to Reproduce:
1.install Mate only DE from above .iso
2.boot to Mate DE.
3.invoke Totem (Videos) and add a Video .mp4 file. A black preview image is displayed with the file title displayed below

Ben, do you have correct codecs installed? You may need to enable tainted repo and install task-video package. Please give feedback on this.

same .mp4 in a fresh (and un-updated) Gnome x86_64 does not exhibit rhe issue

issue is apparent before and after update, tainted (x86_64) and tainted(32 bit) were both enabled
