Hi Dan,

Thanks for the report. 

We need more information to find out whether this drakboot bug was already reported in our Bugzilla, or whether it is a new, different problem.

When drakboot crashes, do you get a drakbug screen, like this one
http://doc.mageia.org/mcc/5/fr/content/drakbug.html ?
If so, then please attach a screenshot of your drakbug screen to this bug report.

Please do the following, too:
* open a terminal/konsole
* become root
* give the following command

    journalctl -f > log.txt

* leave that terminal/konsole open
* start drakboot again and let it crash
* go back to the terminal/konsole and press "Ctrl" + "C" 
* attach log.txt to this bug report

Besides, MGA5 is no longer supported.
