Our current release is 2017.02.01 and needs now to be updated.
This update fixes bugs/increases compatibility with supported online video platforms and adds support for additional such platforms.

Checking this on x86_64

Tried a variety of Youtube video downloads without any problem. 
$ youtube-dl --external-downloader wget "...."
That worked fine.

Tried censoring a download using "--age-limit 8" on something a little bit risqué but that had no effect.

Was unsure of the effect of the next command:
$ youtube-dl --flat-playlist "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zgmvg-zzctI&list=PLFgquLnL59alCl_2TQvOiD5Vgm1hCaGSI"
but this is what it showed while playing the videos in sequence:
[youtube:playlist] Downloading playlist PLFgquLnL59alCl_2TQvOiD5Vgm1hCaGSI - add --no-playlist to just download video Zgmvg-zzctI
[youtube:playlist] PLFgquLnL59alCl_2TQvOiD5Vgm1hCaGSI: Downloading webpage

Tried an edited version of the command to use the playlist:
$ youtube-dl "https://www.youtube.com/watch?list=PLFgquLnL59alCl_2TQvOiD5Vgm1hCaGSI"
and that worked exactly as expected, downloading each of the videos to local storage.

So this is fine for 64-bits.
