.xsession-errors_20170531
Previously, after killing a faulty session, when landing on the login screen, I've got a kde debugging window with some data. Unfortunately, I did not manage to save anything as I was not logged. Is there a way ? I'm thinking about creating a world writable directory in /home/, or in /tmp/ partition...

xmessage : Could not start ksmserver. Check your installation. (okay)
Still reproducing
When the panel is freezed, I kill the session Ctrl+Alt+Backspace (twice)
Briefly, the screen shows a black screen with some lines (blaw blaw... stolen region...)
Then the login screen with a little black and white popup that disappears quickly
I login
The KDE/Plasma desktop is back, with all previous windows opened AND still with the little popup (see attachment) It says : xmessage : Could not start ksmserver. Check your installation. (+ button okay)

ksmserver - Segmentation fault - KCrash Handler
When I click on okay button, the session is killed again !
The black and white popup is still briefly here
Then I got a window to debug on the login screen (may be KCrash Handler), and I manage to save the kcrash stack file (see attachment)
I think the bug may begin when I plug an USB stick, that's happening right now. On the other hand, it's the first time I see the "new peripheral notification" freezing. Already launched apps are still running fine. I manage to restart panel directly from Plasma Desktop with KRunner: Alt+F2 - killall plasmashell then Alt+F2 - plasmashell

I don't know if it can help, but got the bug again. Despite restarting plasmashell as explained, the plasma desktop was still not working. Tried to restart it twice.
It maybe a coincidence, but thunderbird was struggling sending an email, so I had two thunderbird windows, while trying to restart plasmashell twice or more. (see panel weird screenshot)
This message is a reminder that Mageia 6 is end of life. Mageia stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Mageia 6. At that time this bug will be closed as OLD (EOL). Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Mageia version prior to Mageia 6's end of life. Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we cannot be able to fix it before Mageia 6 was end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Mageia, you are encouraged to click on "Version" and change it against that version of Mageia. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Mageia release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete. -- Mageia Bugsquad Resolution:
