Version 25.0.0.148 is indeed too old flash-player-plugin-25.0.0.171-1.mga5.nonfree was tested and validated and is ready to be pushed to nonfree/updates, see bug #20818 We're just waiting for a sysadmin to find time. Meanwhile, you can fetch it from nonfree/updates_testing. About not being able to uninstall: the package does not contain the software, but fetches it from the adobe website, as explained in the description of the package: NOTE: This package does not contain the Flash Player itself. The software will be automatically downloaded from Adobe during package installation. I'm not sure removing the package should remove flash player. Assigning to the maintainer, who knows better than me :-) Assignee:

anssi.hannula The .148 version seemed to not have all the Adobe download urls listed correctly so unfortunately it has become uninstallable already. So as Marja said, .171 should fix installation. If the download of new Flash player fails, it is indeed expected that the previous version is not uninstalled and the package is left un-upgraded. And manual removal of the package indeed removes the installed Flash Player. Status:
