bequimao.de Could you add the cli output (as user) of $ journalctl -ab | grep ksmserver after the crash, and the same output after a normal successful login. So you might see what is missing. I think that ksmserver as a Plasma session manager should not start at all in Xfce. I will have a look. I myself use Xfce only with a dedicated separate user, and never with my default Plasma user. Ulrich I encountered a ksmserver bug while typing a password in SDDM. At the same time no password worked, in SDDM nor in TTY. CC:
