Description Kristoffer Grundström 2017-04-23 01:30:56 CEST
Description of problem: This tool is something that I personally love to use everytime I have to burn a Windows DVD or a USB drive for someone.
It's licensed as GPLv2 and it could use some serious improvents as the project hasn't released a new version since 2009.
What makes this program so great is that it creates the partition table for you and makes sure that the iso is burned correctly so it helps for users that aren't interested in learning the commandline or if they don't have the time to learn how dd works.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 1.0

So you're asking us to use source code from a project that's been dead for *8* years and that's intended to make a windows binary, and turn it into a package that'll run on Mageia?

Did you ever try to compile it under Linux? Did compiling succeed, did it magically result in a Linux binary, could you use the software under Linux?

Please reopen this bug report if the answers are Yes, yes and yes.

(Even if it might be closed again, because we're not eager to import unmaintained software!!)

For the feature of writing to USB or Flash memory, we have Isodumper.
For writing images to DVD, we have K3B, for example.
Thus I think also we don't need to import a tool which is not well maintained and provided at first for Windows environment.
