Description Paul Dominique 2017-03-30 23:29:44 CEST
In a previous session, kate had several opened files in 1 instance.
At the time of a new session, the number of instances of kate was the number of opened files. There are one instance with several opened files, and other(s) instance(s) with an empty new file.

(not Cauldron but Mageia-6-inst2)
kate: 16.12.3
KDE Plasma: 5.8.6,
KDE Framework: 5.32.0
kernel: 4.9.17-desktop-1.mga6

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. In Dolphin, open 3 files in kate. There is one instance of kate, with 3 tabs.
2. Disconnect. Connect.
There are 3 instances of kate, one with the 3 files (3 tabs), and 2 instances with an empty new file (1 tab).
