RPM Packages As written in the forum I do not see the necessity - it is already there. In a way it is the same as with Suse, just divided into 3 separate screens. 1. screen in installation lets you choose between standard KDE or Gnome installation or a "Custom" selection. This is the first step - the word "Custom" should be understandable (as with the translations). 2. (if you select "Custom") gives you a selection by groups (Internet, Multimedia, etc.). The link at the bottom says "Individual package selection" is as clear and understandable as the "Custom" link in the previous screen. IMHO this series of 3 separate screens caters more to the requirements of the users. A novice user will possibly not be bothered by long lists of packages, so he is better off with a standard selection. The experienced or curious or adventurous user will dive into group or package selection. But I support strongly the need for package descriptions in the "Individual packages selection"! CC:

The last issue was, as you already discovered, addressed in bug 549. Personally, I agree with Wolfgang, I really like the way it is done in Mageia. But maybe under the word "custom" a line "package selection" could be added to make it even more clear. assigning to maintainer, so he can decide what to do with this request CC:

marja11 Hi, This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment. Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2. Thanks :) Cheers, marja Keywords:
