Description Gilbert BONNET 2017-03-17 10:57:53 CET
Bonjour,

Isn't that one handled by r8192e_pci instead?
What's the output of "lspcidrake -v|egrep -i 'realteak|8192' ?

rtl8192eu : Realtek|Wireless N Nano USB Adapter (vendor:2001 device:3319)

What we what is original "lspcidrake -v|egrep -i 'realteak|8192" output with 4.9.15-1 kernel

If he's going to c&p the command, "lspcidrake -v|egrep -i 'realtek|8192" seems better ;-)

Comment 6 Thomas Backlund 2017-03-18 12:08:16 CET
This is because we have a dkms-rtl8192eu in repos that does not support 4.9 series kernels

And I dont see any device 3319 id in 4.9 series kernel, but I see it in upstream linux git master, so I'll see if I can backport that

Merci Mr Backlund

in fact i have had à discussion a few months ago on MLO mageialinux-on line whith alp1, kalagani et dades who help me to install the driver

urpmi git task-c-devel «current kernel» kernel-firmware-nonfree
cd /home/identifiant/Téléchargements
git clone https://github.com/Mange/rtl8192eu-linux-driver.git
cd rtl8192eu-linux-driver
make
make install

You can read the whole discussion on google in searching for gigisan Dwa

No need.

With kernel-4.9.16-1.mga6 (currently building) and rtlwifi-firmware-20170309-1.mga6.nonfree your hw will be supported by the upstream rtl8xxxu driver

Bonsoir

On Mageia6 sta2 6 live (kernel 4.4.5 the original one who was proposed) i have download with my very old msi US54G/MS-861 Wifi Dongle, rtlwifi-firmware-20170309 but when i change it for my "new" D-link dwa-131
big deception : dwa-131 was not recognize by the CCM who propose to use Ndiswrapper. :((

the same "galere" as mageia 5 kernel 4-4-50-2 (the last one)
Comment 12 Gilbert BONNET 2017-03-26 23:30:15 CEST
Hi
The driver rtl8192.ko for D-link dwa-131 is missing in mageia 5 kernel 4-4-55-1 Desktop. I hope it will be integrate in mageia 6.
