Low Vivaldi is closed source software (their website says nothing at all about licensing, apparently you have to install it first to read the license) and they already provide RPMs on their website. And do you know if that license allows us to legally redistribute it? What other distributions distribute it already, can you give us examples? I'm especially interested in Fedora and Debian because most of the time they take legal issues seriously. Assigning to all packagers as done usually for new package requests. As Samuel mentioned though, since it's closed source and upstream already provides binaries, and since maintaining browser package is a lot of work, I doubt any of our current packagers would want to package Vivaldi for Mageia. I'm not saying that it will never happen though, we did have Opera packaged in the past, and we do package nonfree applications such as Skype or Steam. Component:

New RPM package request Thanks for your answer. I'm sorry but I mixed it up with another Browser - I don't know if Vivaldi is already in the Repo of other Distros. But Vivaldi seems to be working with some Distros to do it. You can read it here: https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/12516/distros-with-difficult-or-lacking-vivaldi-install stated by vivaldi it should be no problem to do a repackaging without (internal) modification: https://www.reddit.com/r/vivaldibrowser/comments/62adz5/the_vivaldi_source_code_license_and_the_eula/ As stated (at least), packages for gentoo https://packages.gentoo.org/packages/www-client/vivaldi and slackware https://slackbuilds.org/repository/14.2/network/vivaldi/ are available. Since in the official build h264 is not working, since it is not shipped and not provided as an extra package by mga (#20108) this would be a great benefit. CC:
