Here, a different mobile card (a HUAWEI) with a sim card from a different provider, works after configuring the interface with drakconnect (selecting GPRS/Edge/3G). This is despite the fact that it looks like a wired interface in draknetcenter and, worse, it's shown as inactive, while it's active. It works. After clicking on the "Monitor" button, it is the pppO interface that shows the activity. My wwp0s29u1u1i1 interface (the wrong "wired" interface in draknetcenter) shows no activity. You could try whether it's similar for you: that it works after configuring the card with drakconnect http://doc.mageia.org/mcc/5/en/content/drakconnect.html (more precisely this part http://doc.mageia.org/mcc/5/en/content/drakconnect.html#d4e1911 ) Bug 17827 more or less covers the above, so I'll keep this bug report for your suggestion to add a dependency on libqmi-utils for modemmanager. Assigning to all packagers collectively, since there is no registered maintainer for modemmanager. Also CC'ing the libqmi-utils maintainer CC:

jani.valimaa, marja11 Fixed in latest libqmi. Lib pkg requires now utils also to install qmi-proxy which is used by modemmanager. Closing as FIXED. Really closing as fixed. Status:
