due to the fact that ejabberd  2.2.x is so old, it doesn't correctly implement XEP-0321  and several other standards now part of XMPP. the two remedies for this consist of either upgrading ejabberd, to at least 16, or switching to Prosody, or  applying this patch.

Thanks.  Nicolas, I see you had begun to update it to 16.09 but aborted it.  Do you want to finish that update, or roll it back so that we can apply the patch?

Hi Zombie,

We regret if this never got fixed in Mageia 5.

Luckily Mga6 has version 16.09, which doesn't have this issue.

Closing as OLD, because Mga5 is no longer officially supported.
