6sta2 On real hardware, M6, Plasma, 64-bit Package(s) under test: VLC default install of vlc [root@localhost wilcal]# urpmi vlc Package vlc-2.2.4-9.mga6.tainted.x86_64 is already installed Package fails with segmentation fault In user terminal: [wilcal@localhost ~]$ vlc VLC media player 2.2.4 Weatherwax (revision 2.2.3-37-g888b7e89) Segmentation fault (core dumped) Test platform: Intel Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz GIGABYTE GA-Z68X-UD3-B3 LGA 1155 MoBo GIGABYTE GV-N440D3-1GI Nvidia GeForce GT 440 (Fermi) 1GB RTL8111/8168B PCI Express 1Gbit Ethernet DRAM 16GB (4 x 4GB) Mageia 6 64-bit, Nvidia driver Looks *very* much like a duplicate of bug 20020. Does vlc work for you after running the command mentioned here: https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=20020#c3 > strace /usr/lib64/vlc/vlc-cache-gen -f /usr/lib64/vlc/plugins (The reporter there said it needs to be repeated after every vlc update) CC:
