Description Daniel Kjellin 2017-01-15 11:51:04 CET
Description of problem:
When I try to add a vpn connection (openconnect in my case), after I fill in the details in the dialog and hit 'save' it crashes without an error. Launching the settings from console prints these errors to the console:
"GLib-GIO-ERROR **: Settings schema 'org.gnome.nm-applet.eap' is not installed".

After fully updated, I get the same error trying to add a new wifi connection as well, but it worked once first installed (from STA1)

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
Every single time

Steps to Reproduce:
1. launch settings
2. click 'network'
3. click little plus sign to add
4. select vpn
5. type in anything for vpn endpoint
6. hit 'add'
7. crash, nothing added.

It seems this bit still wants networkmanager-applet (to store settings; that's it). Please install and report back.

I installed it and I could add the setting, so it seems it was indeed the problem. Is it possible to get networkmanager-applet added as a dependency for the relevant packages to people having to remember and know that this is the solution?

Thanks, I'll add the dependency. I wasn't sure if this would solve it.

It was a little bit more difficult and asked on gnome@ml.mageia.org. Didn't get a response so just added a dependency.
