Description of problem:
The system can sometimes no more exchange data on network, although net_applet says that link is up. It's the same behaviour as when bitrate is null.
I saw this lines in journal when this happened:

I have to disconnect the link and then to restablish it.

At this time, I have two wifi routers active.
For what I know, I don't use networkmanager.

The output looks as if the network comes up nicely again :-/

Does pinging (e.g. pinging mageia.org) still work when you can't exchange data?

Here some information.
These information are with a WORKING connection.
When the connection is lost, I can't get access to the router via its IP address.
I will try to get the equivalent if the problem occurs again.

With a lost connection

The connection is lost after that the laptop come to suspended state and wakes up. The connection is re-established on the second router instead of the first one, but the gateway's IP is not updated. It still the address of the first router (192.168.1.254) when the connection is established with the second router which has 192.168.1.1 address.
I had nothing to choice for a connection.

Hi Marja,
I had lost memory of this report.
And yes, I have similar behaviour now with Mageia 6 and my new laptop.
The wifi environment is the same.
Now, this occurs when I disconnect my laptop from a wired connection to sit with it in another position.
Next time, I will catch the needed information, for reference.

Hi, thanks for reporting this bug.
We are sorry, but we no longer maintains this version of Mageia. Please upgrade to the latest version and reopen this bug against that version if this bug exists there.
As a result we are setting this bug to RESOLVED:OLD

Hello,
I had it with Mageia 7. Now, I have only one router and I use networkmanager.
Thus indeed resolved, as a workaround.
