Description Giuseppe Ghibò 2016-12-30 22:17:56 CET
Since the latest upgrade to release 1.2.5, pcmanfm can no longer read MTP protocol from USB devices when clicked from the device notifier in the systray, under Plasma5. It was working a few releases ago, now compair a banner saying "Error KIO client, the process died immediately". It was useful from transfering files from Android devices. OK, MTP is not the most stable protocol around for Linux, but was doing it's quick & dirty job before.

Under dolphin instead the MTP works.

Hi,

I think pcmanfm uses more and more gvfs and, in that case, it may rely on gvfs-mtp. Do you have that package installed? Do you have the same problem under LXDE?

Best regards,

Nico.
