IMHO, as long as upstream doesn't trust GRUB2 (bug 416) enough to give it version number 2.x instead of 1.99, GRUB2 shouldn't be in a stable Mageia release.

This bug was filed against cauldron, but we do not have cauldron at the moment.

Please report whether this bug is still valid for Mageia 2.
