Description Thomas Andrews 2016-12-05 21:03:09 CET
Description of problem:
I wanted to edit Grub2 on a non-EFI Plasma system so that it would boot to the same default each time. First I tried installing kcm-grub2, which is supposed to show up in System Settings under "Startup and Shutdown." But even after rebooting, it's not there.

Googling this problem shows that it is common to linux systems that go from KDE4 to Plasma 5. The cure seems to be to either rebuild the package, or (preferably) update to a newer version.

I was able to edit Grub2 using grub-customizer, so this isn't necessarily a release blocker. However, I feel that this package should be fixed, or if we are not willing to do that, dropped.
