Description Kristoffer Grundström 2016-11-20 07:14:48 CET
Description of problem: I have made sure that automake-1.15 is built locally and installed in Mageia 5 and as I changed the hplip spec-file in order to build the newer version of hplip, it failed. Look at the attached error output.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 3.16.10

How reproducible: All the time.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Build and install automake-1.15.
2. Download the hplip-3.16.10.tar.xz from sourceforge.net
3. Download the src.rpm for hplip from Mageia 5.
4. Extract all the files (except for the spec-file that you put on your desktop) from it and put them in ~/rpmbuild/SOURCES
5. Open Terminal window and do cd Desktop.
6. Run rpmbuild -ba hplip.spec
7. Voila! The build will fail.

hplip exist

I don't know about you, but urpmq -i hplip shows me that hplip DOES exist. I was trying to build the newer version of this package to solve a possible problem with a Canon printer.
Comment 4 David GEIGER 2016-11-21 17:58:04 CET
mga5 provides hplip:

3.15.11-1.mga5 // core-backports (Mga, 5, i586)
3.14.6-8.1.mga5 // core-updates (Mga, 5, i586)
3.14.6-8.mga5 // core-release (Mga, 5, i586)

If you will a newer/updated version of some mga5 packages as tmb already says *you are on your own, not our problem.*

So please *stop* with your unneeded posts in this bugzilla!!
