Description Clément Le Guévello 2016-11-07 18:09:54 CET
Description of problem:

The software goal is search and download .akp, in google Play Store.
It could be useful to improve people's independence. Google independence => no google account => a large decrease in availabled applications .
In deed, without an access to the Android biggest store, your Android, or AOSP ROM, it's not so fun.

Assigning this package request to all packagers collectively. On a voluntary basis, one of them might, if there are no license or other legal issues, want to integrate it to the distribution and maintain it for bug and security fixes.

This may be offtopic, but I found a way to implement Google Play services without actually installing Google Apps or GApps.

It is called MicroG and can be found here: https://microg.org/

The Google Play downloader seems like a good thing, but I use MicroG instead.

Thanks!

MicroG is perfect to implement Google Play services on a custom Rom.
Moreover, there are none rom available on my smartphone, just a working progress. But clearly, MicroG will be my next step.

The first step, gain an acces to Google Play without the Google android client. Today, i have tried an another desktop client, Raccoon
https://github.com/onyxbits/Raccoon

It's work good!
(There are .exe available and i have an old w7 =)

For me, MicroG and a custom Google Play client are complementary solutions.
Anyway, a custom client on Mageia could interest people.
