marja11 Hi Nikos, Thank you for having taken the needed time to report this issue! We regret if this issue didn't get fixed in Mageia 5. Mageia 5 has officially reached its End of Life on December 31st, 2017 https://blog.mageia.org/en/2017/11/07/mageia-5-eol-postponed/ It only continued to get important security updates since then, but non-security bugs have no chance of still getting fixed. I assume this bug doesn't exist in Mageia 6 or later, because there are no Mageia_6 or Mageia_7-Cauldron bug reports about a 'BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)' error. Closing as OLD. Please reopen this report and change its "Version:" at the top left to "6", if the same bug still exists in Mageia 6. Cheers, Marja Resolution:

Description of problem: After selecting a package, and opening windows with more information and options, drakrpm crashes. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): My Window Manager is IceWM. How reproducible: everytime Steps to Reproduce: 1. open a root terminal and execute "drakrpm" 2. on drakrpm window, do a search for "git" 3. from the list of packages, assuming git is not already installed, select: "|x| git 2.7.4" , by clicking on the little box 4. in the window that popped up, click on the "More information" button 5. in the newer pop-up window, click on the button that lies on the right of "git-core-2.7.4-1.mga5.i586" ("More information for package...") 6. in the even newer and last in line pop-up (yes... finally... we will crash drakrpm), scroll down, and click where it says "Files" 7. drakrpm fetches the xml file 8. the Files element expands, showing the list of files 9. maybe a second passes, drakrpm crashes Note: I didn't try the above sequence with other packages.
