when I try to connect from a ubuntu 10.10 machine I get a error
Avahi resolver failure

I've also reactivated an existing bug

the guest is a Mageia gnome DE installed from a i586 live CD
I tried to connect from [ubun 10.10] the preinstalled remote desk top viewer 
I can connect to another ubun 10.10 on my home network with no problem

the problem was the firewall was on by default, blocking the vinagre remote desktop viewer
