For those running Pidgin, there is not need for a separate program if they want to use Telegram messaging as well. I have used this plugin in another distro for nearly two years with no problem.

 Assigning this package request to all packagers collectively. On a voluntary basis, one of them might want to integrate it to the distribution and maintain it for bug and security fixes.
