Description David Locklear 2016-09-25 06:42:06 CEST
The game Gnome Mines updated from 3.20 to 3.22 on Sept. 24th. The game no longer functions.
Comment 1 David Locklear 2016-09-25 06:51:47 CEST
update installs ( i586 ) version instead of (x86_64 ) version. I had to go to terminal and remove 3.22 version and then go to RPMdrake and install 3.22 version ( x86_64 ). The game is repaired. 3.22 version may have 2 additional themes but they are boring. ( per David Locklear, Linux novice )

I really like that, as a Linux novice, you have the guts to use cauldron :-)

However, please read
https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Cauldron#Mailing_lists_for_cauldron_users

This very interesting message was on the development mailing list a week ago:

Only this morning did he tell:

> it is relatively minor.

With large updates, like for Gnome and Plasma5, it is normal for part of the new packages to be on the mirrors, while other packages they need are not available yet. Updating then is asking for breakage. That is the reason Olav advised to refrain from updating.

It would have been better to wait with updating until the message he sent this morning + a wait few more hours to make sure all the packages landed on your mirror. ;-)

Cheers,
Marja
