Description of problem:

On my active user (which I can share some of its settings files), the plasma5 desktop's settings -  the wallpaper, the tiling/scaling property/etc. and the desktop/folder views don't stick/are not presrved after logging out and logging again. This is very annoying.

Maybe the reporter of bug 19333 hit the same problem.

However, he didn't tell which DE he has

After updateing to Plasma 5.8.1 today set again the "default" folder view + Plasma Next wallpaper to desktop view + Mageia wallpaper and this setup preserved after logging out and again in... So it seems to be fixed here...
