to note, kdm is now missing from the system, removed by an update .. putting it back seems to bring kde4 packages, but i was running kde5 for a long time now. I could install task-plasma5 packages , but i don't see kdm in the dependencies.. plymouth-scripts - Plymouth related scriptsâ
This package contains scripts that help integrate Plymouth with the system.
Version: 0.9.2-7.mga6
Currently installed version: 0.9.2-7.mga6
Group: System/Boot and Init
Architecture: x86_64
Size: 22 KB
Medium: None (installed)
plymouth-system-theme - Plymouth default themeâ
This metapackage tracks the current distribution default theme.
Version: 0.9.2-7.mga6
Currently installed version: 0.9.2-7.mga6
Group: System/Boot and Init
Architecture: x86_64
Size: 0 KB
Medium: None (installed)
So the 2 (missing) packages are registering as installed ... and there are no other versions available.
Please report one bug per issue. kdm is replaced by sddm and kde by plasmap gnome is currently in a unstable state (not completly updated to new version yet) I will close this bug as invalid. Status:

RESOLVED thanks for the good tips; re installed sddm and plasma-workspace and edited sysconfig/desktop to use sddm and plasma and now it works again, back in kde ... five :-) kde4 ... instead of plasma |
