Description Samuel Verschelde 2016-09-19 14:04:09 CEST
See attached screenshot.

I have two screens, the lower one has a 1920x1080 resolution and the one above it 1024x768.

In the top screen, the picture is not complete (lacks the "Mageia" text) and in the lower screen the picture is badly positioned.

Assigning to all packagers collectively, since there is no registered maintainer for this package.

Does this work with other plymouth themes or on another distro as I don't know ow if it's a theme issue or something with plymouth itself.
Comment 4 Samuel Verschelde 2016-09-22 22:24:42 CEST
I don't have any other distro to test. How do I switch change the plymouth theme?
Comment 5 Donald 2016-09-22 22:43:40 CEST
You'll need a different theme, we ship a few, I'd suggest solar as it colours the full screen.

View the installed themes with:

plymouth-set-default-theme --list

Set the theme with:

plymouth-set-default-theme solar

After setting the theme, you need to rebuild init to have the new theme files included:

dracut -f

All of that needs root obviously.

Hopefully fixed in mageia-theme-6.3

Please test mageia-theme-6.3-1.mga6. If the updates doe not trigger it automatically, you might have to rebuild the initrd with `dracut -f` to pick the theme changes.
