Description
Bit Twister

I can't reproduce. There should be polkit agent (mate-polkit) already installed, pulled by xfce4-session, which handles password query. Also, lightdm-gtk-greeter-settings is its own program, not related to xfce4-settings-manager other way than that it just shows lightdm-gtk-greeter-settings icon. CC:

jani.valimaa I am sorry for wasting your time. Problem was self induced. I had disabled the startup mate-polkit service since I was running xfce. I re-enabled it, logged out/in and it now prompts for root pw. Status:
