Description of problem: in Virtual box or with real hardware, the initial boot option screen is white text on a black background

1.burn above .iso to usb or dvd
2.boot to usb or dvd
3.note black background with white text

I had this same problem with the Live ISO I've been building. I've managed to "fix" the problem by replacing the boot/syslinux/bootlogo file with a copy of the boot/gfxmenu file, but I don't understand why this is necessary - or how it ever worked in the past.

This looks to have been fixed in the latest 5.1 ISO. Ben, can you confirm?

i586 ok

x86-64 ok, legacy.

have different options listed, so new bug for that
