The last line should read: Perhaps you could link under downloads? Thanks for report but can you please clarify some things. 1. The link in title (http://www.mageia.org/en/community/downloads) doesn't exists at all. Can you please write which one of those (community or downloads) you're referring. 2. If you're referring the community page (http://www.mageia.org/en/community/) it doesn't even have downloads section. Are you sure that such a section is really needed? As we have separate downloads page (see next point). This page always link to developing version (Cauldron) in the section 'Need more challenge?'. 3. If you take a look at the navigation menu on top of the page you'll probably notice link Downloads. This page has a link. See point 2. Keywords:

looking for the Cauldron DVD, snapshot 02
Hello Filip,
You are absolutely right. Here is what happened.
I was looking for the Cauldron version for version 6. So i started with:
http://www.mageia.org/en/community/ <<==== notice "community"
which I have bookmarked. (please see the first attachment.)
I take pictures using "Imagemagik", in this case the commands were:
"@ + F2"
followed by:
"import mageia.org--en--community_01.png" (-- replaces /)
Note that on the site the word "community" is part of the address.
I next clicked on downloads", but now the word "community" has disappeared. However, I did not notice this, because to avoid retyping the name, with the 01 replaced by 02, in the run window, i.e. my command was now:
import mageia.org--en--community_02.png
Of course this is incorrect, because the word "community" is no longer there. Perhaps it should be?
I had done the same thing in my first bug report, for which I apologize.
Now back to my main point:
A few weeks ago I tested the Cauldron, but by installing the live version, which I always assumed was smaller. In connection with my first bug report, it was suggested that some of the problems were due to my having used the live version. Thus I started looking for the Cauldron version for version 6 in the classic installation. But I could not remember how I had found the cauldron version the first time. So I went back to:
http://www.mageia.org/en/community/
and then
http://www.mageia.org/en/downloads/
but there is no link to the "Cauldron" here.
That was my suggestion: put a link to the cauldron on the downloads page.
Sorry again about confusing you.
Roger
P.S. I eventually found it, but I can not remember how? I installed it and did not have any problems adding software etc. I must say that I am far from appreciating the new KDE desktop; I could not figure out how to edit the launcher or change to the classic style which I much prefer. I did not appreciate the previous update on the KDE desktop; I still run Mandrake 2005 on one computer because of some of the software which no longer exists. Each time I go to the machine with with Mageia 5 and have to change my settings or look for some command, I tell myself, as my wife would put it, "confusion totale".
Have you thought of giving users the choice of the KDE 4 desktop? I have to say that as a professor of mathematics (retired) I am an end-user (Octave, \Tex etc) and have little interest in more "bells and whistles".
Hi Roger. Thx for reporting. No need to apologize as you did a good job. Let me explain why developing version (Cauldron) is not visible with some "big button". The reason is simple. Cauldron's quality is alpha, beta or RC depends on the developing phase. Usually users want to DL supported version. So if one wants or needs Cauldron she/he must find it as it's intended for experienced users or testers anyway. Regarding KDE4 which is BTW outside of the scope of this bug report is unfortunately unsupported upstream. So in general users have only option to use a Linux distribution which still support it. Nowadays they are scarce. Luckily you can always chose another desktop environment we support in Mageia: KDE, Gnome, LXQT, Mate,... I recommend that you turn to IRC (irc://irc.freenode.net/#mageia), mailing list (https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Mailing_lists) or forum (https://forums.mageia.org/en/) for general support. So if you really need or want Cauldron it's under the 'Need more challenge?' heading of currently supported version. As I don't see how to increasing visibility of Cauldron and in the same time avoid unintentional download of it I'm closing this as a WONTFIX. Please reopen if you have another reason or suggestion.
